Fresh, Local and Slow
S
pecializing in dishes prepared from local, fresh and healthy ingredients and focused on leaner choices, Pan and Pantry brings globally influenced foods to an intimate, informal dining experience with a moderate price point. We do not have a deep fryer. Our vegetables are steamed, grilled or raw. Meats are baked, grilled or pan seared with olive or walnut oils. Garden salads include fresh mixed greens, herbs, seasonal fruit and handcrafted dressings made fresh daily. Desserts are decadent and unique. We make our own ice cream, ices and sorbets. Our wood/charcoal grill adds another dimension to our menu. In combination with our locally grown produce and our fresh herbs, you can expect dishes rich in flavor, color and texture.

Pan and Pantry is conveniently located right on the Keewasakee Trail (a Rails to Trails Project) in Thorntown, Indiana. The renovated Cottage on Pearl offers dining in two art-filled rooms, an open-air front porch and back patio. More lawn seating coming mid-summer. We can accommodate small groups (no more than 12) and offer box lunches for larger groups that would like to utilize the Lions' Depot Park Shelter directly across Pearl Street. Private dinner parties of up to 11 are also welcome with reservations.
